The primary goal of Greater Marlboro Programs Transportation is to provide a safe, reliable means of transportation for individuals with developmental disabilities to and from their places of employment. Presently, we transport approximately 65 adults throughout the Metro West Area, which includes, Marlborough, Hudson, Maynard, Northborough, Southborough, Sudbury, Westborough, Framingham and Ashland.
Along with accommodating daily and weekly work schedules, we also transport clients for medical appointments on a scheduled basis. Additionally, we work in conjunction with the Social and Recreation Department by providing transportation for evening and weekend activities, along with the Special Olympic events that are held throughout the year.
Our Transportation Program has five vehicles, one of which is a wheelchair accessible van. The value of our transportation department is two-fold: community and individual businesses are able to benefit from the strong work ethic the individuals bring to their jobs and, in turn, the individual becomes a contributing, productive member of the community.
