Family & Individual Support

The primary goal of family support is to provide a wide array of options to families of people with disabilities that enable them to stay together and to be welcomed, contributing members in their home communities. The Family Support Service Department promotes the development and growth of relationships with natural support networks within the community. Families are experts regarding someone's strengths and needs and are in the best position to know what will help them provide for a family member. Family Support strives to achieve the goal of helping families stay together through funding supports in the following areas:

  Respite
  Recreation
  Child care
  Short term emergency needs
  Specialized diagnosis, evaluation and treatment
  Specialized equipment and supplies
  Specialized nutrition
  Therapeutic services
  Transportation
  Home modifications
  Vehicle modifications

Greater Marlboro Programs, Inc., supports several individuals who live independently in homes in the greater Marlborough area. We strive to ensure that their home is safe and provides a comfortable environment. We make sure that clients have the resources they need to maintain their health, friendship, and social activities. Individual Support helps people to live in the community by providing support in the following areas:

  Assistance with Appointments
  Budgeting
  Home Maintenance
  Transportation
